Zipcar, the world’s leading car share network, is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to join its Operations team! Zipcar’s Operations team members are on the frontline of accelerating Zipcar’s mission, to enable simple and responsible urban living. The Process Improvement Specialist will provide the process and tools needed for Operations success.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and optimize complex processes for key business functions.
  • Assess key performance indicators to diagnose gaps, opportunities, and root causes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for alignment and to drive behavior change.
  • Deliver creative solutions that will energize the Operations organization and keep Zipcar leading the future of mobility.

What drives success for this role:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in operations process improvement using analytical problem-solving methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma DMAIC with proven results
  • Strong knowledge of Operations Management in distributed field operations, Lean, and Supply Chain Management
  • Strong background in workflow and asset management operations and processes; can simplify complex processes and get more out of fewer resources
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement through empowerment and management by data; is willing to re-engineer processes from scratch and is open to suggestions and experimentation
  • Excellent change leadership skill set – ability to make courageous recommendations, communicate, and influence across functions and levels to drive significant organizational change
  • Adept at seeking out and building solutions around first-hand customer experience; secures trust through effective relationship management
  • Experience acting as a project lead and seeing initiatives from concept to launch
  • Experience using advanced Excel, SQL and relevant data analysis software
  • Experience with quantitative focus areas such as Statistics, BI, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Machine Learning, or related field          
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with ability to dynamically translate theory into practical application
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Master’s/MBA preferred
