This is a terrific opportunity for a highly self-motivated individual to join our team. As a Strategy Associate you will play an important role in evaluating the Company’s most important initiatives and provide valuable insight and analysis that will be used to assess the strategic direction of Dispatch Technologies. You will report to Dispatch’s CFO, and collaborate frequently with the Leadership team.

Your role in working on all strategic and financial initiatives will be critical to driving our mission forward.

AS THE STRATEGY ASSOCIATE YOU WILL: 

  • Prepare Board of Directors presentations and other investor relations materials. 
  • Support Dispatch executive team on strategy development exercises, including market sizing, customer segmentation, etc. 
  • Build financial models related to major enterprise deals to analyze pricing models, contract economics, etc. 
  • Support Dispatch CFO and work with the broader Dispatch Finance & Accounting team in building revenue forecasts, budgets and analyzing monthly financial performance. 
  • Partner with the full Dispatch leadership team across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, & Operations to provide analytical rigor and thought partnership.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and business intelligence support.

Analyze and challenge details, data, and facts prior to making decisions and that important decision-making data is maintained accurately for repeated examination as required. Exhibits a probing mind and achieves penetrating insights.

SKILLS WE SEEK:

  • BS/BA in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related fields of study
  • 2+ years’ experience in management consulting, investment banking or private equity, or experience in a financial analyst role inside a technology company.
  • Fluent in Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Interested in startups and the technology industry.
  • An excellent communicator, both in your written and verbal statements. 
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to thrive in a fast-paced startup culture.

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the home services industry, Dispatch’s unique value proposition, and business challenges facing the industry
  • Spend time with each executive team member to understand the strategic business goals of each department and discuss how you can apply your analytical skill set to support these goals
  • Assist the sales, finance and product teams with strategic and financial analysis 

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Prepare investor-facing materials and actively participate in investor discussions
  • Work with the Board and Executive Team to determine quarterly strategic priorities 
  • Build a KPI dashboard to monitor progress toward company-wide goals

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive progress on strategic priorities (e.g. refresh ROI models, evaluate market opportunity for potential product initiatives, etc.)
  • Support company-wide efforts to drive rigorous and crisp execution of business objectives

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Help Dispatch develop a product and go-to-market strategy to expand our addressable market 
  • Collaborate with leadership team to build annual operating plan including: revenue and expense plan; product & technology roadmap; marketing plan; etc.
  • Work with the executive team to set company-wide annual goals and KPIs
