As part of the Software Engineering team, the Lead Business Intelligence Analyst will have immediate impact as the liaison for all cross-functional data reporting projects. This role will initially be very hands-on, working collaboratively and cross-functionally to manage BI reporting requirements for company needs and to visualize data to tell a story. Over time, this position will take on more leadership responsibilities, hiring and leading a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Become liaison for all cross-functional data reporting projects
  • Build relationships across company to understand data needs
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support and triage feature requests or challenges
  • Manage BI reporting requirements for company needs
  • Replace current reports with Looker equivalent reports
  • Hire BI Analyst team
    • Develop mentorship and growth plans for team

  • Passionate about “storytelling” via data

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years data management, data operations, or analytics experience
  • Technical experience:
    • Experience with Salesforce
    • Experience in Python, R, SQL, Excel
    • Experience in visualization frameworks (Looker, Spotfire, Tableau, Google Studio)
    • Experience with data warehouse technologies, especially snowflake
  • Experience leading and building a team
    • Experience leading a team of BI analysts
  • Experience working cross-functionally
    • Experience working with agile software development teams
    • Experience building consensus with senior leadership
  • Experience working in fast-paced, quickly pivoting environment
  • Broad industry experience preferred (data science, tech, life sciences, etc.)

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
