Informatics Lead (Medical Claims)
Description
The Informatics Lead coordinates with other analytics, IT and business areas across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledge SMEs. The Informatics Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Informatics Lead will oversee Medical Formulary modeling and forecasting, as well as analytic support for Specialty programs. The Lead leverages their advanced knowledge of data, modeling, optimization, and tools. Applies disciplined analytics to predict behavior and optimize programs and products to maximize revenue growth. Utilizes advanced or predictive modeling to develop, test and validate cases that improve the outcomes and quality of the programs we offer. Contributes to more innovative approaches to financial models as they build knowledge of the business context in which it operates. Understands and analyzes complex data, articulates mathematical concepts to various units within the company at the appropriate level, and on initiatives with potentially sizable dollar impact. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. This lead role will have a team of 4 associates to support this work.
Medical modeling
Scale up resources and build bench strength, to support modeling cycle with a high-volume busy season
Work with other leaders on the team to identify synergy opportunities with similar processes
Specialty Initiatives
Implement best practices in forecasting and tracking initiative performance
Prioritize the big picture, long term goals
Develop a robust process for scorecard submission, allowing for quarterly comparisons of drivers
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or other quantitative focus
6 + years of data analytics experience, preferably healthcare /medical claims
Ability to clearly articulate and present findings, drivers of change, and insights to senior leadership
Experience in defining and executing measurement programs
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and competing customers
Experience with advanced analytics, including program evaluation and optimization
Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
Organized and detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication
Intermediate experience with analytic tools such as SAS or SQL
Preferred Qualifications
2 or more years of leadership experience
Advanced Degree
Six Sigma certification
Prior healthcare, pharmacy, actuarial experience strongly desired
Advanced experience in SAS, SQL, similar tools
