Cricket Health is looking for a Director of Population Health Analytics and Strategy. The individual will work closely with Cricket’s data team to generate insights from claims and EHR data, serve as a thought partner for Cricket’s clinical team as it develops its strategy to improve the health of individuals with Chronic Kidney Disease, and partner with the product team to prioritize the product roadmap. The ideal candidate will not only have experience working directly with healthcare data, but also the ability to deliver actionable insights and structure complex analytic problems. This position will be supported by a data analyst and will be the first hire for Cricket’s population health group.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee implementation of analytic plans that will help optimize Cricket’s clinical strategy to improve the health outcomes of its patients and reduce avoidable ER/inpatient admissions for Cricket’s member population
• Design and implement rapid cycle improvement systems for Cricket's care delivery interventions (i.e. care management tactics), serve as an arbiter for the clinical teams on the efficacy of its programs, as well as provide guidance on methods and advanced statistics to use in its evaluation process. 
• Prioritize and help develop state-of-the-art predictive algorithms used to identify members with undiagnosed Chronic Kidney Disease and risk-stratify members likely to be hospitalized due to their underlying chronic conditions. 
• Help define the data needs that need to be incorporated into the product roadmap and advise on the prioritization of product enhancements needed to support clinical initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree in Public Health, Health Services Research, Health Economics or other related field
• Experience writing and reviewing code in SAS, Stata, R, or other statistical programming languages
• At least 2 years of experience working with a payer or healthcare provider group in a population health or finance function
• At least 2 years of experience working directly with claims and/or EHR data
• Prior experience developing predictive models for health/clinical outcomes or cost of care
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and use sound judgement to prioritize competing work streams
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage clinical and technical teams

Ideal Qualifications:

• Phd in Public Health, Health Services Research, Health Economics or other related field
• Prior experience designing and evaluating the impact of clinical programs or clinical interventions
• Prior experience developing clinical strategies to improve population health measures
