We are searching for a data analyst to improve the performance of our robotic warehouse automation system. This person will bring data analysis knowledge and hands on experience to develop querying, scripting and data visualization tools for our team. The position would support technical operations, product management, and sales functions. Ideal candidates are capable of working with complex and ambiguous problems by creatively utilizing the large amounts of data inherent in the system. Candidates should be comfortable using visualizations to extract useful observations from large data sets. We need a fast learner and self-starter that is willing to further the analytics reach of the organization.

Key Activities

• Run simulations of current and future systems to identify and prove out performance improvement opportunities
• Develop dashboards that provide visibility into the operations of current systems
• Work with the solutions team to analyze prospective customers data as part of the customer’s system design
• Work with product management to prioritize features based on impact to the system
• Build tools for analyzing system data to provide to other less technical teams

Position Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering; advanced degree in engineering or MBA is desirable
• 2+ years experience working in a Fulfillment, Manufacturing, Logistics, or other operational environment; work in consulting and/or enterprise software is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with fluid priorities
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Skilled at answering technical questions in a friendly and encouraging manner
• Familiarity with MySQL, Java, Linux, Perl, Bash, Python, PHP, JSON, JavaScript, and other programming, scripting, data analysis, and visualization tools and languages preferred
