Business Analyst/Project Manager
This individual will work closely with the Post Trade Product Owner and fellow analysts to execute projects from inception through production release. This individual will be hands on and involved in all phases of a project, from analysis and requirements gathering, including usability aspects, to functional design, testing, and implementation. The selected candidate will often be involved in multiple projects and may work with the clients, Developers, Sales and Relationship Managers, Application Support and QA teams.
Strong skills required in project management, communication, project implementation and agile development methodologies. A working knowledge of SQL, XML, UNIX and experience within securities finance are highly desirable.
Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Post Trade Product Owner to outline business requirements and support prioritization decisions
  • Act as lead analyst for projects managing all project tasks; ensure all milestone dates are met on-time and on-budget with a high degree of quality
  • Lead client meetings and internal discussions to define and prioritize business requirements
  • Breakdown high level information into details and communicate these details in a manner understood by relevant audiences
  • Analyze client business requirements, live production data and make recommendations to internal teams in order to drive data driven design
  • Develop HTML (or other) prototypes for use during client discussions, demo's and usability testing
  • Identify required changes to the system and impact based on client needs
  • Dissect complex problems into component parts and identify the most efficient technical solution; develop associated user stories and acceptance criteria outlining the solution to be implemented
  • Design and create workflows, flowcharts, and relevant documentation of requirements for developers
  • Work closely with development team during the functional design phase to confirm the viability of designs
  • Work with QA team to complete internal test preparation by creating test cases, test conditions and test data and execute testing internally, inclusive of documenting results, tracking defects and troubleshooting defects and issues that arise out of testing
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Tests with clients
  • Create client facing technical documentation to support releases
  • Assist Application Support team with production implementation onboarding, issues and inquiries during initial release phase
  • Learn the underlying securities finance business, the EquiLend systems at a detailed technical level


Requirements

  • 5+ years of analyst and/or project management experience
  • 5+ years of User Experience design for Web Applications
  • Experienced in agile implementation methodologies and creation of associated artifacts (i.e., user stories, acceptance criteria, mock ups, clickable prototypes, UI specifications, etc.)
  • College degree required; graduates with a technical degree background preferred (MIS, CS, physics, mathematics, software engineering)
  • Excellent organizational, time and project management skills; able to effectively manage multiple work streams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; able to handle complex information with accuracy and intense attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in facilitating discussions with clients and internal teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively with all levels and across all areas of an organization
  • Good judgment, high ethical standards and a strong work ethic are a must
  • Knowledge of securities finance or capital markets is highly regarded
  • Experience with:
    • MS Office tools
    • SQL
    • UNIX
    • XML
    • Visio
  • Knowledge of the following areas is a plus:
    • Securities Finance
    • Settlements
