Tripadvisor is the world’s largest online travel site, visited by 450+ million travelers each month, and our business – Tripadvisor B2B – is the critical business-facing part of the broader company.  B2B includes three individual business units: the Tripadvisor Meta Auction (Tripadvisor’s largest revenue line), Advertising and Partner Solutions (our media business), and Hospitality Solutions (develops, markets and sells industry-leading SaaS and advertising products to our millions of hotelier and restaurateur partners worldwide). As the global travel sector continues to adapt and transform, Tripadvisor B2B is at the forefront of developing new digital solutions – both free and paid – to support the emerging needs of our business partners.


Why this job is excellent

Reporting to the Director of B2B Strategy and Operations, the Strategy and Operations Associate will play a key role in shaping the strategy and direction of Tripadvisor’s B2B organization.  This will be a highly visible role with significant exposure to Tripadvisor’s senior leadership team, including regular interaction with the Chief Commercial Officer.  The role is multifaceted and — given the fast-paced, versatile nature of the Strategy and Operations team — will evolve over time. The ideal candidate will have a strong bias toward action, excellent interpersonal skills, and comfort with ambiguity and change. At the same time, the candidate should expect to receive a high level of support and mentorship from Strategy and Operations leadership.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct research (customer interviews, competitive analysis, market analysis)
  • Develop frameworks, business cases, and financial analysis to drive decision making
  • Assist in developing go-to-market strategy and sales plans for new product launches
  • Analyze key performance indicators of the business to evaluate areas for high impact projects that could significantly grow the B2B business
  • Develop executive level presentations 
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across a large, cross-functional team - including sales, marketing, product, engineering, HR
  • Be a key influencer of our B2B culture

What we seek:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in a business environment; experience at a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or technology company is a plus
  • Deeply analytical mindset with experience analyzing and synthesizing multiple data sources, developing robust business cases, storytelling and building executive level presentations, and conducting stakeholder interviews
  • Strong business knowledge and/or interest in business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong “executive presence” and strong cross-team collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Action-oriented individual who is willing to help solve difficult problems
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn, Passion for the travel sector and our hotel and restaurant business partners
  • BS/BA required
