Systems Analysis Director - Remote US
The Opportunity
As a Systems Analysis Director you will be responsible for managing a team of Business Consultants who provide validation of complex calculations to ensure admin system integrity for traditional and non-traditional life products. Through the use and development of models and test plan preparation, the team is responsible for testing our traditional and non-traditional life products responding to production support inquiries, BAU requests and Product projects which include new and revised products, riders, features, late state implementations, defects, change controls, as well as system upgrades and annual dividend schedules. This role, with support of the team, will provide consulting services and collaboration with developers and business contacts to agree on best practice to simplify completing requests.
The Team
Through the use and development of models and test plan preparation, the team is responsible for testing our traditional and non-traditional life products responding to production support inquiries, BAU requests and Product projects which include new and revised products, riders, features, late state implementations, defects, change controls, as well as system upgrades and annual dividend schedules. The team has decades of combined experience, is detailed oriented, works collaboratively and does what is takes to deliver quality and timely results.
The Impact:
As a Systems Analysis Director, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Work with the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead to approve allocation of testing team resources and deliverables for projects both when they are first assigned and when there is a scope change impacting timelines
- Attend (as requested by the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead) periodic touch points with business partners and vendors to develop and maintain strong relationships
- Work with the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead to build repeatable, measurable and sustainable process for successful testing
- Work with the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead to identify KPI's and feedback loops to measure the success of product/solution testing and check and adjust processes to ensure best in class testing
- Work with the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead to set, monitor and support the strategy used by the testing team to implement new life products, new dividend schedules, system upgrades, defect resolutions and value adjustments
- Partner with both the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead and the Model Architect and Modeling Director to ensure new products/solutions employ the strategy needed to test for maximum effectiveness
- Work with both the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead and the Model Architect and Modeling Director to ensure strategic testing plans and models are made available to allow the life testing team to strategically review new coding and product features to position MassMutual's product implementations for success
- Participate (as requested by the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead) in the estimation process for projects impacting the life testing team
- Participate (as requested by the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead) in the requirements documentation process
- Work with both the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead and the Model Architect and Modeling Director to create a life intake process
- Work closely with the Head of MMUS Product Support (Jerry) and other members of the leadership team to ensure the Product Support organization has the right priorities, owns the right tasks, communicates effectively with our business partners and vendors, seeks solutions to satisfy the client, agent and MM, is efficient, works collaboratively and achieves agreed upon results
- Run weekly team huddles
- Have weekly or bi-weekly 1:1s with direct reports
- Attend (as requested by the Systems Analysis Strategy Lead) designated business partner, ETX partner and vendor meetings that impact the ability of the testing team to be strategic in achieving their goals
The Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of integrated product testing experience
- 1+ years of leadership experience, including leading people or projects
- 1+ year of experience with life products
- Experience in development of test plans and predetermined results
- Experience coordinating testing resources through all phases of testing
- Experience managing timeline scope changes, including working with all IT resources
The Ideal Qualifications
- Working knowledge of wma, coverpath, PE, Lifecomm, Leverage, OPM, MPR
- Existing relationships with business partners, ETX partners and vendors the testing team works with
- Working in the Springfield home office 1-2 days a week

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 ****Commensurate with experience
