Job Overview
As an Asset Operations Analyst at Toast, you will provide expert level support to supply and maintain the proper hardware and software tools to our Toasters. You will focus on outfitting and supporting a primarily Mac OS focused environment, as well as a small fleet of Windows computers. As an Asset Operations Analyst you will oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software to ensure our Toasters stay up and running with the most productive tools available. A major part of this role will be to create, evolve, and maintain policies related to assets including endpoint computers and licenses provided. Excellent written and verbal communication required to be successful in this role so we can collaborate cross functionally regarding the needs of all teams at Toast. We are looking for a real self starter who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and build processes and procedures to better maintain the inventory of our assets to ensure the best possible experience for all of the teams at Toast.
About this roll*: (Responsibilities)
- Manage and maintain the life-cycle of devices including acquisition, provisioning, receiving, decommissioning, and disposal at Toast
- Maintain IT asset database to monitor and track assets including hardware, software, and licenses
- Manage JAMF, Apple Business Manager, Airwatch, and other appropriate tools to monitor health and security of our endpoints
- Survey stakeholders and oversee the implementation and evolution of technology of teams that are remote, in offices, and in configuration centers
- Field and log multi-channel technical requests & issues
- Communicate trends and escalations to leadership and provide insight on their resolution
- Create, document, and modify technical solutions, processes, and procedures
- Field end user issues via ticketing system in ServiceNow

- Maintain inventory of assets - 25%
- Create, document, and modify technical solutions, processes, and procedures 25%
- Respond to and troubleshoot break/fix tickets 15%
- Collaborate across teams at Toast to ensure hardware and software is performing appropriately - 10%
- Communicate trends & escalations to leadership and provide insight on their resolution - 10%
- Collaborate with Sys Admin and Security team to ensure tools are deployed and functioning properly- 5%
- Field and log multi-channel technical requests & issues - 5%
- Manage relationships of hardware & software vendors/teams - 5%
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 1-3 years of Technical Support Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in supporting Mac OS and Windows
- Experience with a ServiceNow or other ITIL focused ticketing systems/CMDB
- Previous experience with any of the following MDM Solutions: Apple Business Manager, Jamf, Intune, Airwatch, or KACE
- Technical writing experience
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for new technology
- Personable, Friendly, and Outgoing - a people person that loves helping others
- Proven ability to multitask and change priorities as needed
