Senior UX Writer – Technical Integrations

OVERVIEW:

The Sr. UX Writer – Technical Integrations will design, build and maintain technical documentation related to the Percipio Learning Platform, specifically the integration services and tools used by customer developers and IT staff. This position will work closely with the Product Development team, Engineering, Marketing, and User Experience to provide documentation and training support for Percipio Integrations. The Sr. UX Writer is responsible for writing software documentation that includes online help, technical support documents, product communications, and training materials. In collaboration with engineering, the Sr. UX Writer is also responsible for delivering a comprehensive API testing solution as part of our documentation. This position will receive and provide support from other UX writers in the matrixed organization.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Build a comprehensive vision for world-class developer documentation
• Create external, developer-centric documentation for all integration APIs and tools
• Work with engineering to create an interactive documentation experience with real-time API testing
• Create training materials to quickly onboard external developers to Percipio and key Percipio concepts
• Collaborate with other writers to build our comprehensive user assistance and documentation experience
• Work with other teams to implementation new tools and upgrades to our documentation infrastructure

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 6+ years' experience writing documentation for software products

· Minimum 2+ years' experience writing API or other deeply technical documentation

· Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software applications and technologies to include:

· Microsoft Office applications

· Help authoring software

· HTML, CSS

· Graphics software (Microsoft Visio, Photoshop, SnagIt)

· Video editing and production

· Experience in web programming and Internet technologies (APIs, JSON, JavaScript, etc.)

· Experience delivering and managing technical training

· Understanding of structured authoring and principles of content management

· BS/BA degree in Technical Communication, English, or related field

· Experience with self-directed project management

· Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience editing and testing technical documentation for accuracy and usability

· Ability to quickly learn new software applications and business processes

· Experience in Education or Corporate Training a plus

· Skills Desired:

· Experience using or documenting software APIs

· Experience with Agile methodologies

· Experience with marketing communications

· A self-motivated and independent worker
