As our Benefits and Total Rewards Administrator, you will deliver, analyze, and develop all of our benefit programs and compensation practices. You enjoy managing broker/carrier relationships, you know what’s happening in the market, and you are excited about creating and delivering the most competitive, well designed benefit plan and comp strategy possible. You know how important total rewards are to employee satisfaction, both as an employee retention and attraction tool, and you understand the importance of doing what is fiscally responsible for the company. Last but not least, you get excited about educating employees, helping them understand the complexities of benefits and compensation.

What will I work on every day?

  • Work with our benefits broker, providers and internal teams on benefits program design, employee communications, open enrollment, wellness initiatives and employee benefits orientation for all new hires across the company.
  • Analyze current benefits programs by understanding trends, benchmarking information and data analytics. 
  • Design, recommend and implement new benefit programs and enhancements to current offerings, based on market trends and financial impact. 
  • Provide exceptional support to employees; develop communication tools to educate about benefits offerings and handle ongoing inquiries. Design and distribute materials for orientations and open enrollment. Provide training and support to internal groups as needed (People Ops Business Partners, recruiters, managers, etc).
  • Perform analysis on internal and external compensation market data and identify a compensation strategy that allows PillPack to remain competitive within aggressive talent markets.
  • Ongoing evaluation of current compensation philosophies and practices and ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Handle daily/ongoing benefits processing: handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, leave/disability, etc. 
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee records.
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration. Document and maintain administrative procedures; ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Comply with and handle all requests related to federal, state, and local legal requirements; obtaining qualified opinions; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

What skills and experience do I need in this role?

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in benefits, 401k, and/or compensation
  • Experience managing benefits, compensation and/or total rewards for a mid-to-large size company (500 or more employees) with operations in multiple states 
  • Exceptional analytic abilities and attention to detail demonstrated through prior work experience
  • Detail orientated with strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of benefits compliance practices and building processes
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member
  • Proficient in Google Apps
  • Extensive experience working with HRIS/payroll systems
