Define and flow down engineering requirements from high-level designs, document and manage requirement changes, maintain system architecture and interfaces, identify tools/process improvements, and coach teams on systems engineering practices for complex hardware/firmware/software products.

Lead development and optimization of fabrication processes for integrated photonic devices (electro-optic materials). Design experiments, own wafer lots at foundries, define metrology and failure analysis, improve yields, collaborate with internal and external photonics engineers, and implement process improvements to reduce loss and scale production.

As a Quantum Scientist at Xanadu, you will design and optimize quantum algorithms, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to real-world applications in quantum computing.

Develop and improve inline metrology flows and failure-analysis methods for photonic quantum hardware. Build and analyze SPC charts, perform RCA, design experiments, coordinate with software and external partners, purchase and qualify metrology tools, and apply statistical analysis to improve yield and wafer performance.

Manage U.S. government-funded research portfolio end-to-end: win funding, coordinate cross-functional proposal development, oversee award execution, ensure milestones and compliance, cultivate government and lab relationships, monitor funding landscape, and represent Xanadu at community events.
