Leads electrical engineering execution for a WHOOP hardware product line across new product introduction and continuous improvement. Oversees the full product lifecycle from concept and requirements through design, validation, manufacturing ramp, sustaining, and failure analysis. Builds and develops the electrical engineering team, sets technical direction, manages risks, improves engineering processes, and partners cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, systems, battery, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product teams.

Leads WHOOP’s global Battery Technology organization and sets its multi-year technical roadmap. Oversees battery cell and systems engineering across chemistry, architecture, charging, safety, reliability, validation, manufacturing, and product integration. Builds engineering teams, develops technical leaders, manages supplier and technology-partner relationships, and drives cross-functional decisions involving performance, size, cost, safety, and member experience from early exploration through high-volume production.

Develop and test C/C++ firmware for WHOOP wearable devices, contribute to embedded architecture and driver development, debug hardware and software issues, support electrical development, create firmware self-tests, document technical work, and participate in code reviews. The role requires collaboration across hardware, signal processing, manufacturing, and product teams, with familiarity in RTOS, communication protocols, electronic test equipment, Git, and software testing.
