Skillsoft leads with learning — just ask Skillsoft SVP and General Manager Rashim Mogha. When Built In previously sat down with Mogha to talk about Skillsoft’s impact, she said, “When you create software, it’s about the people using it, right? But when you create a learning moment, the impact of lighting that candle goes so much further around the world.” Like many Skillsoft employees, Mogha was attracted to the company’s purpose-driven values. “Skillsoft is truly in the business of enabling people to be their best selves,” she told Built In. “Making opportunities available to everyone is the best that you can do to make an equal world, which has been my purpose for about 20 years — bringing more women into technology, for example.”

Cultivating Positive Change
Company Sponsored Growth
“A little Sunday afternoon learning,” Creative Director Holley Edney wrote in a post about her ongoing professional development journey. A scroll through Edney’s professional profile reveals over 50 development badges, which she earned at an incredible clip as a part of Skillsoft’s sponsored leadership program, Aspire. Edney’s impressive weekend skill-building is as much a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning as it is to Skillsoft’s company vision — “helping people and organizations achieve their fullest potential through learning and development.”

Empowering Women In Software
Suruchi S.
Software Manager
According to the Pew Research Center, only 25 percent of software roles are filled by women — making diverse leadership in software engineering more critical than ever. Skillsoft is looking to help close the gender gap by elevating women software leaders like Software Manager Suruchi S. While there remains work to be done in equitability in software, Skillsoft is creating change in both its hiring practices and its services. With courses in data science, machine learning, Python programming and beyond, Skillsoft can empower software professionals of all walks to gain an educational edge.
In March, Skillsoft and iamtheCODE announced a strategic partnership to enable 1 million young women and girls to learn how to code by 2030.
