The Software Engineer applies engineering best practices to public transit software systems and products, focusing on delivering value to riders. Responsibilities include writing production-quality software, creating tests, designing scalable systems, and collaborating with the team. Minimum qualifications include at least two years of professional software writing experience and interest in functional programming. Preferred skills include experience with Elixir, Ruby, Python, SQL, Javascript, Typescript, React, and knowledge of GTFS or real-time information. This role can be 100% remote or hybrid. US residents only. Compensation ranges from $75 to $98 per hour (W-2), up to 1880 hours per year.
