Serve as the senior software development SME while performing full-stack Java web development and O&M activities. Guide developer teams, prioritize work, coordinate technical meetings, resolve issues, optimize processes, analyze requirements, estimate effort, review code, conduct testing, troubleshoot environments, create technical documentation, and implement software updates. The role requires extensive J2EE experience, SPA development, DevOps and CI/CD expertise, and active Public Trust/MBI clearance supporting an IRS Criminal Investigation system.

Modernize legacy enterprise applications for the IRS by migrating to cloud-native architectures: replatforming Java apps, implementing Spring Boot microservices, containerizing on OpenShift/Kubernetes, enabling CI/CD and enterprise integration, and designing technical solutions to support Common API Services.

Lead design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise middleware and API integration services for the IRS. Provide technical leadership for Java-based integration solutions using IBM webMethods and cloud-native microservices on OpenShift/Kubernetes. Responsibilities include API development, system integration, application modernization, production support, troubleshooting, and delivery within Agile/DevSecOps environments.

Lead design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise middleware and API integration for the IRS. Provide technical leadership for Java-based, IBM webMethods, and cloud-native integration solutions, handle production support, troubleshooting, and work in Agile teams with containerized and microservices architectures.
