Leads corporate strategy, annual planning, capital allocation, market analysis, and long-range financial planning. Supports mergers and acquisitions by sourcing opportunities, developing business cases, modeling transactions, coordinating due diligence, and managing post-acquisition integration. Partners with the CFO, Head of Corporate M&A, product teams, and executive leadership to drive profitable growth and strategic initiatives.

Owns an AI/LLM product area from concept through launch and end of life. Defines product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, priorities, success metrics, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market plans. Partners with customers, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and leadership to validate needs, guide UX decisions, manage phase gates, and deliver commercial outcomes. The role also supports product marketing through collateral, webinars, seminars, tradeshows, and reference materials.

Manage corporate income, indirect tax, and sales and use tax compliance; prepare quarterly and year-end tax accounting computations; analyze international tax matters, including GILTI and FDII; support tax planning, M&A, audits, and special projects; monitor tax legislation; develop tax models; advise senior management; and promote tax technology and artificial intelligence innovations.

Leads the strategy, architecture, and delivery of Cognex’s Applied AI platform for industrial automation. Directs applied AI research, cloud and edge platform engineering, production reliability, security, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency. Partners across product, hardware, UX, and R&D to ship customer-focused capabilities, drives platform adoption, and builds a high-performing engineering organization. Requires extensive software engineering and leadership experience, cloud and backend expertise, and familiarity with modern AI application architectures.

Participate in four six-month Finance rotations covering planning, analysis, reporting, accounting, and ad hoc projects. Responsibilities include analyzing booking, revenue, margin, and expense trends; providing SAP and Business Intelligence analytics; preparing management reports; improving processes; and supporting business-unit projects. The program also offers exposure to accounting, SOX, investor relations, international assignments, mentoring, networking, and career development.

Lead HRIS strategy and roadmap, manage Workday implementation/configuration/integrations, oversee release management, reporting and analytics, vendor relationships, and a support team; partner with HR, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive automation, process improvements, and an improved employee experience.

Lead global demand generation: develop multi-year growth roadmap, manage a 20-person distributed team and $5M+ budget, implement ABM and customer marketing, optimize full-funnel KPIs and marketing-to-sales handoffs, leverage intent and usage signals for cross-sell/up-sell, and ensure Salesforce/Account Engagement tech stack alignment.

Lead global SAP supply chain and logistics capability: define roadmap, deliver and support SAP solutions (MM, PP, QM, PLM, LE, GTS, IBP), manage a global team and vendors, drive S/4HANA modernization and integrations, ensure stable operations and SLAs, and apply Agile and continuous improvement to improve service quality and scalability.

Lead customer-facing projects integrating Cognex solutions: plan and align resources, develop schedules, manage scope and documentation, communicate status, identify and mitigate risks, ensure quality, delivery, and profitability, and support pre- and post-sales activities.
