SmartBear, a Somerville-based software quality and visibility company, announced its acquisition of QMetry, an AI-enabled digital quality platform. The move will help SmartBear provide enhanced agility for DevOps teams, enabling them to expedite feature delivery, deliver high-quality software and shorten time-to-market.
QMetry’s platform serves organizations in regulated industries like healthcare, finance and government. It leverages generative AI to scale testing efforts, reduce manual tasks and accelerate release cycles. The integration of QMetry’s test management and AI-enabled tools will expand SmartBear's technical and market footprint, offering features such as auto test case generation, flaky test detection and compliance with ISO and SOC 2 standards.
QMetry will become a core component of the SmartBear Test Hub, aiding in managing complex applications and streamlining testing activities with capabilities like test case design, optimization and reporting. Additionally, the acquisition enhances SmartBear’s alliance with major platforms like Microsoft Azure and Atlassian Marketplace.
