Lila Sciences Raises $350M Series A to Expand Its Reach

The company is dedicated to building a scientific superintelligence solution and building AI science facilities to further research.

Massachusetts-based Lila Sciences closed a Series A funding round worth $350 million. The raise, from investors including Braidwell, Collective Global and NVentures, follows the company’s $200 million seed raise, bringing its total raised capital to $550 million to date.

Lila Sciences is working to reinvent the scientific method, supporting development of new medicines and materials that can solve various challenges across physical and life sciences. The company is developing a lab intended for AI-based scientific intelligence to experiment and learn. Its goal is enabling AI to design and run thousands of parallel experiments to advance understanding of the physical world.

With its new capital, Lila Sciences will invest in improving scientific performance across life science, chemistry and materials, scaling its AI science factories, extending its platform to commercial partners and hiring new talent to its team.
