Hi Marley, a Boston-based communications platform for property and casualty insurers, has appointed Jonathan Tushman as chief AI officer, adding the title to his existing role as chief technology officer as Tushman continues to oversee the engineering organization.
As CAIO, Tushman will lead the company’s Integrated Operating System, which blends human expertise with AI to build and manage AI agents. He will also spearhead the design of a four-layer AI ecosystem and the infrastructure, standards and governance required to support it, including agent identity and permissions, collaboration capabilities and security and compliance with human oversight.
“This isn’t about AI for AI’s sake. It’s about building the operating model, tools and guardrails that let every Marleyan create and use agents responsibly so we can move faster, improve quality and deliver better outcomes for customers.” Tushman said in a statement.
In addition to his internal responsibilities, Tushman will represent Hi Marley in the broader AI community, including the Boston AI Coalition, while remaining engaged with emerging agent frameworks and protocols.
