Fortunately, that’s not hard to do in Boston. The city is full of companies with a purpose, those whose goals progress beyond going public or becoming a unicorn.

Dust Identity fights fraud and ensures supply chain security by using diamond dust to create unique product tags so brands, individuals and collectors can trust in the authenticity of their investments. Healthtech company Kyruus builds software for scheduling doctor’s appointments that ensures patients get the right care they need.

And those companies are just the tip of the iceberg. Continue reading to learn more about 10 purpose-driven Boston companies, all of which are currently hiring.

“I encourage my team to utilize our ‘downtime’ in between quarter-ends to unplug in addition to any planned time off or vacations,” said Dennehy. “I prefer that they leave their computer behind and not look at email or Slack so they can truly reset.”

“I relate to the value of ‘Satisfy and Empower Clients,’” said Guarracino. “This translates into ensuring employees feel inspired to succeed. A big part of my job is coaching folks through their journeys, which can be during celebratory moments and challenging times. Listening with empathy and respect is crucial to understanding the needs of employees.”

“These biannual, goal-oriented performance reviews allow employees and managers to engage in productive conversations around impact and growth,” said Zhou. “It also provides structure to goal setting and tracking. Parental advice: In addition to generous parental leave, BlueConic also offers more informal support to new parents. Alexa Buchta, director of revenue operations, said the company’s “#bluecrewrents” Slack channel was an invaluable resource as she prepared for maternity leave.

“It was so helpful to get support as I prepared for a major life change and it has been an invaluable resource for questions about product recommendations or how to prepare for our first road trip with a baby,” said Buchta. “Becoming a parent and transitioning back to work can be difficult and at times the balance can be daunting, but knowing people are navigating it right alongside you is comforting.”
