Boston tech companies were on the move last week. Keep reading to learn about the fresh faces and new capital pushing Boston tech companies into their next stage of innovation. This is the Built In Boston Weekly Refresh.

Sublime Systems gained $40M. The startup, which spun out of MIT in 2020, is on a mission to decarbonize cement production, which is responsible for 8 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. Unlike industry peers that experiment with carbon capture, Sublime Systems eliminates the need for high-temperature kilns by using an electrolyzer that can produce cement at an ambient temperature. The funding will help the startup accelerate production at its Somerville plant and scale its team from 30 to 70 employees. [Built In Boston]

Canvas GFX bagged $9M. Canvas GFX transforms user manuals into interactive, 3D instructions that manufacturers can use to educate employees or product users. In addition to the new funding, Canvas GFX announced it would add new expertise to its board of directors. Peter Schroer, the founder of product lifecycle management platform Aras, will chair the board. [Built In Boston]
