Formlabs closes $30 million Series C

Somerville-based Formlabs has now raised $85 million in funding since its 2011 launch following this week’s $30 million Series C. Tyche Partners led the round, with participation from Shenzhen Capital Group and UpNorth Investment Limited. Its existing investors DFJ, Pitango and Foundry Group also contributed. The 3D printing company will use the capital to scale its operations throughout Asia and toward product expansions. [FinSMEs]

Healthtech startup Kyruus raises $10 million

On Friday, Kyruus closed $10 million in funding from Venrock, Providence, New Leaf, McKesson, Lux Capital, Leerink, Highland and F-Prime. To date, the company has now locked in $72 million in funding. This new round will be used to grow its product development and delivery teams and toward integrations and partnerships with other health tech platforms. [Built In Boston]

Boston startup graduates from Techstars’ first ‘virtual accelerator’ program

Filtered.ai recently graduated from Techstars’ first ever virtual accelerator program alongside nine other startups. During the 3-month program, Filtered.ai reportedly signed several Fortune 100 companies to its recruiting platform for engineers. The program followed Techstars normal program formatting,  which includes $20,000 for each startup funded by Techstars and a $100,000 convertible loan offer. [Xconomy]

Beacon Street renamed to “Blockchain Street” for Boston’s Blockchain Week

Blockchain enthusiasts have renamed Boston’s historic Beacon Street to Blockchain Street with a new street sign to kick off Boston Blockchain Week. The week-long celebration will include citywide events through April 27 for founders, researchers, students and investors logged in to the blockchain and cryptocurrency movement. [BusinessWire]
