Tech shakeup: 5 Boston startup leadership changes in December

Leadership changes consistently happen as companies evolve, and December was no exception for Boston tech. At least five startups experienced major leadership shake-ups this month, bringing on new teammates with fresh ideas and perspectives. Check them out below.

Emily Keeton and Chuck Cory
board of directors • ezCater

Online business catering marketplace ezCater brought on Emily Keeton and Chuck Cory to its board of directors. Keeton was recently hired as WeWork's head of mergers and acquisitions, while Cory’s most recent position was chairman of global technology banking at Morgan Stanley. Cory was involved in roughly 300 deals during his time at Morgan Stanley.

 

Tim Curran

Real estate tech company Building Engines added Tim Curran as its new CEO. Curran, who was most recently CEO of Sample6, was already a board member and advisor for the company before being appointed.

 

David Krauter and Stephanie Brocoum
CEO and CMO • Paint Nite

Paint Nite hired two C-level executives, including CEO David Krauter and CMO Stephanie Brocoum. Brocoum and Krauter previously worked together on the launch of Rue La La, an online commerce site that uses a flash sales concept.

 

Ian Scott
director of global accounts • Bullhorn

Software staffing company Bullhorn brought on Ian Scott as its director of global accounts. Most recently, Scott was head of sales for a global provider of recruitment technology.

 

Cate Lochead
senior vice president of marketing • VMware

Cybersecurity company Carbon Black added Cate Lochead as senior vice president of marketing. Lochead’s previous role was CMO of MariaDB, a database management system.
