The UX Research team is looking for a mid-level researcher to join our Cambridge or Dublin teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a curious, resourceful team player with a passion for qualitative research methods.

In this role you will work closely with product teams across the platform to understand user behaviors and inform the product design process. You will execute discovery research from start to finish, including identifying goals, creating study plans, recruiting, moderating, analyzing, and presenting findings. You will identify appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methodologies for uncovering insights, including ethnographic research techniques and surveys. You will look for opportunities to learn what motivates and delights users on individual apps and across the platform, and use your knowledge to help teams deliver a holistic HubSpot experience.

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with product teams to strategize discovery research activities
  • Work with product analysts to combine appropriate quantitative data with your findings
  • Synthesize data and report findings to stakeholders
  • Design and lead usability studies as needed (creating screeners, recruiting participants, etc)
  • Design surveys
  • Use your findings to influence product teams to improve product utility and usability
  • Evangelize the UX research discipline and the UX Research team throughout HubSpot 

Required Skills

  • 3 - 5 years of success leading user research projects with demonstrated impact
  • Broad toolset of qualitative research techniques including ethnographic research
  • Experience creating study plans for discovery research
  • Experience conducting mobile usability studies
  • Knowledge of data analytics
  • Experience with wireframe and prototyping tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects without supervision
  • Experience with SaaS products is a plus
  • Bonus points for Spanish, French, or German language skills
