UX Director / Product Designer

We are looking for a visionary UX Director to help build and lead our UX team. The UX leader will be responsible for driving the team execution for all aspects of the UX lifecycle. As an experienced UX professional, you will bring your point of view to help establish, improve and optimize our team’s capabilities for delivering an exceptional product.
We are looking for an individual who can be transformational to help elevate our design-driven product lifecycle. This individual enjoys mentoring, teaching and leading a team of UX professionals on everything from ideation and research to usability and design. You will work closely with product managers, designers, developers and business stakeholders to envision, architect, design, test, and optimize our platform and mobile applications. You will help drive our enterprise B2B class solutions toward a consumer B2C class user experience.
In this role, your work will touch hundreds of household brands that rely on our product, including Nike, Starbucks, Disney, Samsung, GoPro, Red Bull, Pepsi, Google, Twitter and many more.
Responsibilities:- Build, lead a team of UX professionals to plan, research and execution as part of the product roadmap
- Conduct user research, from primary to final validation and use results to feed design direction
- Identify and articulate user behaviors and needs based on data to guide designers and developers
- Based on user behaviors, lead or perform hands-on execution of wireframes, visual comps, interaction models, user flows, usability tests, prototypes and any other useful design artifacts as required
- Communicate, lead, mentor, collaborate to create a well crafted, world-class user experience
- Understand the Crimson Hexagon customer and serve as their advocate when making design decisions
- Encourage active user involvement
- 3+ years experience building and managing a multidiscipline UX team
- Expert knowledge of data-driven user design and development (e.g. HEART)
- Portfolio required and passion to share software products and features developed
- Understanding of behavior design and lean UX processes, actual practice a plus
- Passion for mentorship, teaching and hands-on leadership of a high performing UX team
- Data visualization skills
- Collaborates effectively with engineering teams and across the organization
- Proficient in Adobe creative suite, and at least one prototyping tool
- HTML and CSS knowledge, current on latest responsive design techniques
- Undergraduate degree
