SimpliSafe is looking for a strong UX designer to understand and design for our growing user base. We’re looking for someone who’s excited about working with engineers, marketers, and designers to put users at the forefront of our product development.

You’ll help bring a user-centered design process to our mobile application, web app, and hardware experiences. We’re a small, growing team, and are seeking a designer who’s excited about working with our product team from soup to nuts to bring products from seedling ideas to realities. In this role you will:

• Coordinate with product managers, and key stakeholders to help refine product concepts with an eye towards providing the best user experience and customer value proposition
• Produce workflow diagrams, wireframes, and final comps for mobile/desktop applications and hardware experiences.
• Work with engineers, visual designers and product managers to iterate, clarify, and implement your user experience designs
• Design and run usability sessions and interview customers to gather critical user feedback
• Partner with the business lead to prioritize design and engineering goals

About you:

• Demonstrated experience designing thoughtful, simple but sophisticated user experiences for products (preferably with integrated software and hardware user interfaces)
• Ability to negotiate between beautiful and functional designs, demonstrated by a portfolio that highlights recent work and your design decisions
• Mastery with a range of current design and prototyping tools: Adobe CC, Sketch, Axure, InVision, etc.
• Proven experience designing and running usability sessions to validate designs and assumptions
