DataXu is looking for a self-starter to join our Business Development team. This position is focused on providing the technical expertise critical to support DataXu’s varied business relationships and ongoing supply chain investments. The Technical Product Manager will represent DataXu externally and work closely with partners across the digital marketing ecosystem. They will also provide technical leadership within DataXu. He/she is expected to bring and/or develop deep knowledge of industry tech standards and best practices as well as advertiser use cases and requirements in order to maintain and improve DataXu’s supply chain connections. This person should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges to help drive the DataXu business forward. This position reports to the Vice President of Business Development.

On the Job:

  • Serve as Product Manager for the Supply Chain engineering squad, defining priorities and requirements, providing technical expertise, and coordinating with partners.
  • Act as the technical expert and resource within the Business Development department.
  • Work directly with partners in implementing new capabilities and diagnosing issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to DataXu’s Go To Market team on our partner ecosystem, helping to facilitate an understanding of our partner capabilities.
  • Identify, define, and communicate new opportunities internally, ultimately gaining approval and bringing them from concept to reality.
  • Work with internal departments like Engineering, Product Marketing, and Product Management to help support the growth and direction of DataXu offerings.
  • Represent DataXu by participating in industry committees focused on shaping the technical direction of the programmatic ecosystem.
  • Manage internal reporting to monitor partnership profitability, costs, adoption, and other key metrics that help inform pricing, packaging, and product solutions.

 About You:

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in an externally-facing role at technology company.
  • Existing understanding or strong interest in developing expertise on the programmatic landscape, specifically related to the media supply chain.
  • Technically savvy. A strong grasp of technical issues and ad-related technologies, including troubleshooting of inventory, connectivity, or internet architecture issues.
  • Proactive, driven, entrepreneurial, and action-oriented individual who can accomplish goals, work well in a team, and thrives in fast-paced environment.
  • Project management experience, particularly Agile development. 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Previous experience at a DSP, ad network, ad server, or agency a plus.
  • Experience with developing against REST APIs a plus.
  • Experience with SQL a plus.
