We are looking for a passionate Software Engineering Intern to help with efforts ranging from machine control (embedded systems) to user interfaces to web technologies. Some technologies we are currently using are: Javascript/HTML/CSS, Ruby on Rails, Docker, Python/Numpy/SciPy, Julia, Arduino, C++, GCode, WebGL, OctoPrint, and Raspberry Pis.

Job Title: Software Engineering Co-op, 3D Printing of Electronics

Location: Somerville, MA

The Job:

• Assist in developing our path planning software (“Slicer”)


• Develop User Interfaces in Javascript/HTML/CSS


• Help users troubleshoot issues with their generated GCode.


• Work on the printer’s user interface.

You are:

• An engineer (Software, Electrical, Computer, or something similar)


• Interested in manufacturing technology, use 3D printers on a regular basis, and have a laundry list of improvements you want to make to the current technology


• Capable of working on a team of other software developers and familiar with source control tools like git.


• Able to propose and meet your own milestones.


• Self directed.


• Willing to work with end users of our 3D printer.
