Toast has built a powerful and easy to use Android tablet based Point of Sale and restaurant platform for restaurants, helping them operate more efficiently and connect with their customer base in new and innovative ways. We have a rapidly growing customer base comprised of cafes, restaurants, bars & nightclubs. We are passionate about how to help our customers grow their business, and how to provide a best in class user experience. We strive to bring the best designs and products to our users. The product management team works hand in hand with the engineering team to steer and guide the process of developing products from conception to launch.

We’re looking for a senior product manager to further develop our external API strategy and guide our platform team. You’ll partner with our customer’s and partner’s development teams to help them build a Toast ecosystem, and with our engineering teams to define and prioritize features that improve the velocity, reliability and scalability of the Toast platform. This is a key role as Toast scales its development and product organization.

Responsibilities:

Own Toast’s API strategy, including SDKs, developer portal(s), developer documentation and tools
Develop and manage the roadmap for Toast’s internal platform
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine and document product/business requirements
Write narrative user stories describing ideal customer and partner experience
Manage business priorities and adapt to changes in managing the technical platform roadmap
Partner with development teams to link technical capabilities to strategic vision and business needs

Qualifications:

A minimum 4 years of product management experience, 6-8 years preferable
BS/BA or MS degree in Computer Science, Business, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
Ability to manage multiple projects and fulfill product requests while meeting tight deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong analytical and technical abilities
Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills
Experience with development on mobile platforms and technologies a plus
