Job Summary:

As we continue to grow our Marketing team, we are looking for a passionate Senior Graphic Designer (/Associate Art Director-dependent on experience) to join Invaluable to help elevate the brand and aid with the management of an external production design team. We are looking for someone with a clean sophisticated design sensibility. You will closely with the Creative Director to elevate the brand. You love design and still feel that “Aha!” moment when your kerning finds the perfect balancing point. Our marketing department is focused on digital marketing. However, projects cover a broad range including print ads, invitations, logos, brochures, t-shirts, event collateral, powerpoint presentations, banner ads, social media ads, landing pages, and microsites. This is a great opportunity for a designer looking to expand your digital chops - come make your mark on a growing and dynamic company. Future endeavors may include motion graphics, video editing and landing page/microsite design in Wordpress. CSS experience is a bonus but not required. This is not a UX or UI position but the company is an e-commerce business so it includes a unique opportunity to learn how a profitable e-commerce site is successfully run. '

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Conceptualize, design and product sales and marketing materials including but not limited to email marketing, event collateral and signage, catalogs, mailers, web pages, landing pages, digital advertisements, graphics for web and social media campaigns
  • Maintain and fulfill needs for corporate identity and branding materials
  • Effectively develop and persuasively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale both verbally and visually
  • Proactively drive multiple projects from concept through production while ensuring designs consistently meet objectives
  • Provide on-target art direction and project management skills to junior staffOpportunities to interface with user experience design team on select projects

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Graphic Design
  • 7+ yrs. design experience
  • Strong skills and knowledge in print production, page layout, and must also be extremely proficiency in the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Some web design experience is preferred
  • Flexible and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Basic CSS skills or desire to learn
  • Strong inter-personal skills, enjoys collaboration

Would be nice to have skills or interest in:

  • Video editing skills
  • Motion Graphics or After Effects skills
  • Understanding of Web design
  • Infographics or illustration experience
  • An interest in Marketing
