We are seeking a talented business person to lead development of a directory of healthcare providers who take care of women – doctors, midwives, hospitals, other healthcare professionals, and maybe even doulas. Then, we want you to lead the integration of cost and quality data to provide transparency to our users. In this critical role, you will be charged with deeply understanding the healthcare information marketplace, figuring out what databases exist, helping to build a business case for licensing an existing database and improving it, versus building one from scratch. You will work with our product team to integrate the database into the product, and then test it over a period of months to make sure that it is accurate and always getting better. Over time, the directory will expand to cover other types of healthcare providers, becoming a tool in an expanding array of business lines.

Key responsibilities include:

Program Development

• Partner closely with product and health to identify the service value proposition of the provider directory, create a compelling story and help to bring that story to life.
• Identify strategies for integrating cost and quality data.
• Understand the competition and win.
• Know the user better than you know yourself.
• Develop a strategy for leveraging providers and users to improve the database over time
• Manage relationships with any vendors whose products are licensed to build our directory
• Map out how we will leverage APIs from other databases.
• Build a plan to create our own API so we can consider licensing our database to others as a product line

Skills and Abilities:

• Confidence in interacting with all levels of product and development leadership to drive a point of view around the future of the product
• Experience working with data, databases, and analytics in the course of a prior job in the technology or healthcare industry
• Solid technical knowledge foundation with the ability to translate technical content into business value for internal and external stakeholders
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and conduct detailed, substantive market and product research in order to understand our products, competitor’s products, and the market we inhabit
• Such compulsion to excellence and accuracy that you can see yourself occasionally calling practices to confirm the accuracy of the data that we collect at scale.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• At least three years of professional experience with a technology company in the healthcare space
