As a member of the engineering team, you will gain a deep understanding of programmatic ad tech and be on the cutting edge of “ad tech 3.0”, developing large scale distributed systems with deep technical and mathematical challenges. The types of challenges that the team works on everyday include:

• Large scale data analysis: Solving problems involving complex mathematical algorithms to optimize traffic consumption
• High performance software: Writing optimized, low-latency software that routes high volumes of traffic between cloud-based and physical datacenter infrastructure
• Traffic configuration and monitoring tools: Designing easy-to-use dashboards, alerts and analytics that enable traffic configuration

The nToggle engineering team seeks individuals passionate and disciplined about writing great software, and working together to tackle the challenges of the programmatic ad tech space. The team values developers that are enthusiastic about learning and sharing knowledge, view software development as a craft, and have an eye for typed functional programming.

REQUIREMENTS

• Entrepreneurial-minded Software Engineer Intern
• Must be currently enrolled in a four year program pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field
• Able to complete a 12-16 week internship beginning in Summer 2017 (could go longer)
• Familiarity with JS and at least one JS Framework (React JS, Angular, Backbone, etc.)
• Experience with a JVM language (Java, Scala, Clojure, etc.) and building API
• Familiarity with Scala, AdTech, big data problems, or low-latency systems is a plus
• You enjoy learning and writing software and take pride in what you build
