The Team
Love for technology runs in our veins. We try to adhere to the best practices of SCRUM (see our Tech Blog posts on our Agile Morphing). Like clockwork, we conduct daily stand-ups, sprint review / demo meetings, and retrospectives. We hate thrashing. We want to build things the right way. We conduct backlog grooming meetings, early project reviews, and blue-sky design sessions. We collaborate very closely with both the Product Management team and the internal users of our software.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming Engineer who wants the challenge of working with a dyanmic team on a number of cutting-edge technologies in the areas of Big-Data, NoSQL and cloud / scale computing. You will help build scalable backend systems that operate on our award winning Big Data architecture, algorithms, and data science. You’ll gain well-rounded eexperience of the startup AdTech culture and how a lean organization thrives. Qualified candidates may have recently graduated or currently eligible for a co-op/internship.

What You Bring to the Party

• You are curious. You know that getting to the bottom of things often means—well, starting at the bottom. And learning about all the crazy details get you jazzed.
• Experience working within the Linux environment
• Understanding of the SQL language and basic RDBM concepts
• Experience with a server-side scripting language such as Python, Ruby or other
• Great attitude

About the Internship
This position is for an 11 week period from the start of the internship (or shorter based on school schedule). It requires a minimum of 15 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week. Occasional remote work may be authorized as needed. Relocation assistance will not be provided and you must be able to commute to our office location. This is a paid position. Permanent Employment at the completion of the internship is not guaranteed but is possible.
