We are seeking an amazing, savvy and hands on Creative Director to join our team. The Creative Director will oversee the development and implementation of all Paint Nite and Plant Nite marketing materials including (but not limited to) lead converting campaigns, email campaigns, social media (organic and paid), venue collateral, website graphics, and print materials. He/she will be a hands-on player who can lead and mentor our creative talent while also providing design guidance with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark/InDesign). The Creative Director should have a complete understanding of the creation of HTML/HTML5 assets and video. He/she will work closely with a highly collaborative team of copywriters, designers, product managers, marketers, technologists, and business leaders to bring our ideas to life.

You will:

  • Provide comprehensive graphic design and layout support (from concept to delivery) across the full spectrum of digital, print, and multimedia assets.
  • Research and propose design updates to improve the visual impact of existing products.
  • Have an eye for detail and an understanding of marketing strategies and implementation.
  • Develop measurable KPIs for creative campaigns and optimize on an ongoing basis to meet defined KPIs. 
  • Provide quality assurance and standards so creative vision is carried through every channel.
  • Partner with Tech/Product team to translate business goals into strong design elements that can deliver on key business metrics, elevate design and enable a strong user experience.
  • Lead a team of designers and copywriters.
  • Develop project estimates.
    • Help to monitor work hours against project estimates.
  • Review project / creative briefs and ensure they will result in great work.
    • Route and track projects, gather creative feedback from project stakeholders, and collect/distribute performance results for launched projects.
  • Delegate all assignments / projects / tasks, appropriately. 
  • Proof deliverables, review work before it goes to internal clients to ensure completion of what’s in the brief, and review comments prior to delivery to creative team to ensure understanding of feedback.
  • Know where we stand - be able to provide status of any given project at any given point in the day when asked.
  • Collaborate with our Creative Agency to implement a full brand relaunch.

 

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a creative environment (advertising agency, internal marketing team, digital production, creative resources, or studio). 
  • Demonstrated success managing a team (inclusive of designers and copywriters), as well as multiple projects and priorities, in a fast paced environment.
  • Great communication skills, both in conveying design best practices and project details/ideas, across all levels of the company, including the executive team.
  • An excellent eye for design and typography, evidenced by a diverse portfolio of work.
  • Specific examples of developing – and meeting – KPIs specific to individual marketing campaigns. 
  • UI/UX experience.
  • Familiarity working within project management tools such as Wrike.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Integrated Marketing, or a similar field.

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
