Job Description:

We are actively hiring a full-time Controller who will play a vital role on our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the company’s accounting and operational finance efforts. You will also work closely with the Director of Finance and other departments to generate insights, drive alignment, and integrate the company’s finance, HR, and technology infrastructure. An ideal candidate will be as self-starter, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. 

What You Will Do:

•Oversee all accounting and operational finance efforts (e.g., accounting policies, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, controls, tax, reporting, audit)

•Research and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles 

•Prepare financial statements and own month, quarter, and year-end close processes

•Monitor company’s financial performance (including budget variance analysis)

•Facilitate budgeting and financial planning efforts 

•Manage and comply with local, state, federal, and other reporting and tax requirements as we enter new markets

•Develop and maintained strong accounting policies, processes, and internal controls

•Oversee migration to new accounting system

•Other duties as necessary

What You Need:

•BA/BS Degree

•5+ years of accounting experience

•Prior experience as an assistant controller, controller, or accounting manager

•CPA 

•Prior experience in software as a services (SaaS) industry 

•Big Four experience preferred

•Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and controls

•Experience creating financial statements as well owning month-end and year-end close process

•Experience with accounting software migrations

•Self-starter with experience taking ownership of key tasks

•Strong collaboration, analytical, and communication skills
