This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing financial team, offering a broad remit across all spectrums of MOO’s US financial operation. You will have the chance to make an immediate impact in this dynamic business and in return for your hard work you will be able to develop quickly with significant responsibility. This role will involve managing the day-to- day financial operations for our US subsidiary, developing and implementing finance processes and providing an exceptional level of support to the business as a whole.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the US accounting function incl. full-cycle month-end / year-end close procedures, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Ownership of US financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Monthly variance analysis and financial reporting to the Group Management Accountant and Financial Controller in accordance with group and local compliance
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Assets and Depreciation schedule
  • Maintenance of Accrual and Prepayment schedules
  • Monthly inventory, revenue, cash and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assistance in the preparation of corporate tax filings, liaising with external tax consultant and tax authorities
  • Main contact for the annual audits, liaise with external auditors
  • Management, coaching and development of the Finance Team
  • Implementation, management and continuous development of proper accounting processes and internal controls
  • Creation and maintenance of a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards and tax rules and regulations as well as internal policies
  • Preparation and filing of monthly Sales Tax for various US States
  • Weekly payroll processing, liaising closely with HR
  • Ad hoc finance and tax projects as required
  • Internal and external relationship management

About You:

  • As well as being friendly and approachable, this role requires exceptional team collaboration and living MOO’s MAKEIT values on a daily basis.
  • You will have 5+ years of considerable hands-on exposure to the workings of a finance department, including the ownership of the General Ledger, in a similar fast growth position or large organization, ideally within the manufacturing environment.
  • In addition to this you will demonstrate the following:


  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Experience in foreign currency transactions
  • Must be highly organized, a flexible team player but self-starter at the same time, being able to get down to business quickly and independently
  • Proven track record to leading, coaching and developing a dynamic accounting team
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage implementation of process improvements through automatization
  • Incredible eye for detail
  • Highly adaptable to and motivated by change
  • Exceptional ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent time management and deadline consciousness
  • Process driven and forward thinking
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry highly preferred
  • Experience with ERP system implementation a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or a related course of study or MBA
  • CPA preferred
