Video Producer (Writer/Director)

The Wayfair Creative team is looking for a talented video producer to write and direct television commercials, online video advertisements, and internal video content. This person will work on a small but growing video team where they will lead the charge on new, fun and unique creative ideas from conception to completion. They will also be responsible for taking existing ideas and proliferating into larger video initiatives. While this is a writing and directing role, a deep background of video production and editing is required. 

Specific Responsibilities:

• Write effective and differentiated television advertisements for multiple markets
• Pitch ideas to the video team
• Storyboard concepts and communicate with production team to execute ideas
• Direct video team on set to ensure idea is best executed
• Write and message multiple videos and campaigns that meet our ROI targets
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across our brands
• Collaborate with video team to determine strong video content
• Manage several projects at once while ensuring deadlines and quality of the content is met

Skill Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience writing advertisements for TV and/or online video
• Understanding of full video production process
• Portfolio of effective and differentiated video work
• Self-motivated individual who isn’t afraid to explore new ideas and take on new projects
• Ability to collaborate with others on creative work and scripts
• Works well under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple projects
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Directing experience on set
• Collaborative and very open to taking creative feedback
• Competitive drive to outperform past projects in a fast-changing space
