Role: Sr. Product Manager, Operations Automation

Reports to: VP, Engineering

Overview

You will sit at the junction between the software product management and field operations. You will implement rapid pilots to learn and iterate, and support full production rollouts that support and maximize our operations team as they provision and maintain large numbers of personal transportation devices in cities. You will create new methods to define user needs in the areas of reporting and real-time information sharing and define solutions and opportunities for automation and process improvement. You will build the storyline of the product both in concept and base do results, and deliver this to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Travel, up to 25%, in order to gather requirements, test, and help deploy software tools with field personnel.

  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.

  • Specify new products and features for implementation.

  • Mock up user interfaces and lead mini design sprints as necessary to iterate on product ideas.

  • Define success criteria for rolling out new products and features.

  • Develop the vision and roadmap for a strategic consumer priority area.

  • Generate and analyze metrics on the success of the product and make enhancements based on this data.

  • Partner with our world class engineering team to drive the development of user oriented products.

  • Identify consumer needs and pain points in the user experience, and translate those insights into impactful product innovations.

  • Define and analyze the data to determine success of user programs, business impact and prioritize new market opportunities.

  • Work cross functionally with the broader business and effectively communicate team plans and results.

Desired skill set and outlook

We'll want you to have:

  • Experience as a software product manager, expressing requirements in a manageable form to software engineers.

  • Experience separating requirements (problem statements) from implementation prescriptions (proposed solutions).

  • End to end experience developing, launching and supporting a product.

  • Track record of innovation to deliver better products and/or a better experience to customers.

  • Demonstrated ability of getting into the minds of customers, understanding their needs (even if it’s something they don’t know they need) and absolutely delighting them.

  • Ability to see and understand the total market opportunity and impact of product decisions.

  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment on objectives.

  • Experience in SaaS software and working in an Agile software development environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented.

  • Ability to establish priorities while balancing technical and business requirements.

  • Proactive, independent thinker with high energy and positive attitude.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
