About the role:

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll champion and drive forward the development of our discovery platform. You will act as a force multiplier, empowering scientists to tap the unprecedented datasets generated at Embark to fuel scientific discovery and new product innovation. 

Our ideal candidate has a history of working with complex datasets, tools and workflows, preferably in the biomedical arena. They also have a record of leading collaborative efforts involving multiple technical functions to produce favorable outcomes. 

What you’ll do:

• Empower our science teams to do their best work, uncovering novel associations between genetics and complex traits
• Collaborate with the Science and Engineering teams to formulate a roadmap for new and ongoing product development
• Work with the Science and Engineering teams to build out and iterate on our discovery platform to maximize value for the company
• Communicate team vision and tactics cross-functionally across the company
• Develop a deep technical understanding of the processing and analysis of genomic and phenomic data 
• Demonstrate and continue to develop leadership without authority in technical, design, business, and scientific environments
• This role is based in Boston, MA and will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week in the future

What experience we’re looking for:

• 5-8 years software product or technical program management experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with business and technical teams 
• Technical depth with agile software development, APIs, data modeling and database technologies
• Experience building big data storage and computation techniques and software, or tools that utilize large computational infrastructure
• Experience in academic science, laboratory, and/or research environments preferred
