Cricket Health's Senior Data Product Manager ("Sr. Data PM") will serve as a critical bridge between the Data Team and Cricket at large. The Sr. Data PM will work with business stakeholders and a team of data engineers to define and execute the roadmap for developing Cricket's data assets, services, and reporting infrastructure.

As a Sr. Data PM, you will have significant product management experience and a strong passion for improving health outcomes. You will own key components of the Cricket Product Suite and be expected to contribute to the development of our processes and procedures, mentor team members, and have significant input into our overall product strategy. You should be knowledgeable in the healthcare space, with a clear track record of delivering data products to patients, payors, or health systems. You should also have significant previous experience working with development teams and defining and releasing data products. Success in this role will be rooted in your ability to separate the signal from the noise, while balancing the needs of our customers against technical / resource limitations in the context of Cricket’s overall corporate strategy. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifying the right problems to solve by:
  • Building a broad and deep understanding of stakeholder needs across patients, payors, providers, and Cricket internal teams
  • Building strong relationships across the company who are looking to use data to make smart business decisions
  • Understanding the ins and outs of Cricket’s data warehouse and data technology stack, including ingest, storage, transformation, analysis, and presentation layers
  • Balance business strategy, product strategy, user research, and data to facilitate priority discussions and trade-off decisions across competing priorities 
  • Ship. Often, and on time. You will achieve this by: 
  • Continuing to improve Cricket’s data product development process
  • Gathering and documenting business /end user requirements 
  • Bridging user requirements into technical specifications and setting the company-wide standard for a “data spec” collaboratively with data developers 
  • Working closely with Cricket team members to develop, test, deploy, and operate high quality, scalable data pipelines 
  • Seeing around corners to identify bottlenecks and pain points in the development process that will limit our ability to deliver against our objectives 
  • Managing cross-functional projects that include technical and business stakeholders through progress updates, risks, mitigation strategies, milestones, clear project governance, etc. 
  • Building processes around data quality including automated QC, tests, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance work 
  • Writing user stories and managing projects in JIRA and Confluence 
  • Build, coach, and mentor a data product team over time 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in product management 
  • 3+ years of Agile experience with a focus on data products
  • Demonstrable track record of wrestling with complex data problems to develop simple and user-friendly solutions
  • Comfortable talking with clinicians, patients, engineers, designers, and customers alike
  • Self-driven personality, startup mindset 
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn rapidly
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze your own data (e.g. writing SQL, Excel lookups /pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with elements of the modern data technology stack - data pipelines, SQL, R/Python, BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Mode)
  • Experience building a product team at a healthcare company
  • Understanding of healthcare data ontologies (CPT, ICD10, NDC, etc.)
  • Understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment including, HIPAA
