What You'll Do
You will work with the Games-Based Innovations Lab to help build out game-based solutions across areas like cognitive assessment and learning/development experiences.
In this role, you will play a lead role in setting a shared vision, understanding values, and prioritizing work. You will develop a deep understanding of the target market and, in partnership with key stakeholders and your pod, set an ambitious and clear product vision that will deliver new innovative game-based products to fruition alongside Solve. The McKinsey Game.
You will be at the tip of the spear for one of our product verticals. Working with external partners across the firm, and everyone inside of GBIL, to deliver a new game-based solution that fits the needs of our partners while also adhering to the overall vision of the lab.
You will be the product owner for a multi-disciplined scrum team pushing to deliver innovative products in a startup-style environment. Working with disciplines across the lab, you will prioritize, synthesize information, and guarantee quality and fit for the product that is being developed.
You will be the single point of contact, both internally and externally, for the product being developed inside that vertical. Working closely with a partner team around the firm, you will bring their vision to life infused with the creativity and value add that GBIL provides through games-based innovations.
Who You'll Work With
You will be based in one of our offices in North America as part of our Game-based Innovations Lab (GBIL). Remote locations are welcome.
The Game-Based Innovations Lab is a team of approx. 25 scientists, game designers, engineers and product specialists that use their deep expertise in the fields of psychometrics, learning science, data science and gaming design and technology to develop measurement and assessment products. To date our biggest use cases are in recruiting, learning and development but we are looking to grow and expand where we find interesting and compelling areas to deliver impact. The Game-Based Innovations Lab is part of a broader community of talented people measurement and analytics professionals who are globally respected as leaders in their field.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5+ Years experience working as a project manager for a software development team - or like experience with Scrum/Agile/Lean teams
• Ability to solicit and manage customer requirements from many - often competing - sources
• Understanding and evaluation of risk and how to communicate that in a constructive way
• Ability to effectively convey information in a variety of mediums (verbal, text, reporting, etc)
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skill
• Passion for iteration to find the optimal solution, but at the same time understanding diminishing returns and the need to deliver
• Formal project management certifications a plus
• Ability to pick up new software and tools quickly
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
• Gaming familiarity is a plus
