Dispatch has built a network of over 25,000 contractors who are completing more than 60,000 jobs per day on the platform. We’re on the hunt for a talented Product Manager to join our Product team. This position will act as the product manager for software development teams building enterprise software. Primarily responsibilities include customer research, EPIC writing, ROI analysis, roadmap building, lofi mockups and requirements writing, backlog grooming, sprint planning, user acceptance testing, and demoing functionality to internal and external stakeholders.  This role requires both working directly with the development teams to build software and coordinating with the product managers and cross-functional departments for feature planning, release and feedback.

The team also conducts research and development targeted at new market opportunities in the quickly evolving field services space.

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER YOU WILL: 

  • Take ownership of a product development team and cultivate a roadmap
  • Gain a deep understanding of the market and guide the product’s strategy
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support ideation, design, development, launch, and support of new and existing products
  • Write technical and non-technical user stories, collaborate and communicate feature requests to Engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Work with customers and prospects directly regarding product launch, feedback and feature requests
  • Document and manage product feature requests from customers and internal and external stakeholders/collaborators
  • Manage project schedules and resourcing plans
  • Manage multiple projects and fulfill product requests while meeting tight deadlines
  • Present and report out to senior management on product metrics and product life cycle
  • Document requirements for upcoming product releases
  • Synthesize tone, language, and messaging in user-facing text
  • Craft internal and external communications around features, including release notes, user manuals, feature overview decks, and feature descriptions
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
  • Support all product management team activities, including research, wireframing and communication
  • Develop deep product knowledge and share expertise with internal departments
  • Manage communication of product initiatives both internally and externally

SKILLS WE SEEK:

  • 3+ years working in tech, consulting, or an operational capacity
  • 3+ years working with software products
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum development processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong analytical and technical abilities
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, including prioritization, problem-solving and interpersonal relationship building
  • The desire to work in a fast-paced software environment, and an ability to execute against aggressive timelines
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with varying degrees of priorities
  • High energy level, enthusiastic, and eager to do what is necessary to be successful

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Gain a strong understanding of the Service Industry space and the business challenges Dispatch solves
  • Release a feature into production (however small) and gather feedback

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Gain a strong understanding of the Service Industry space and the business challenges Dispatch solves
  • Consider yourself a product expert in Dispatch’s solutions
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings on your own
  • Present at the Change Control Board to advocate for changes to your product roadmap

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Start to help guide the roadmap by advocating for new and innovative ideas
  • Develop close relationships with some Services Providers and customers on the platform 

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Help guide interactions with the board and positively influence the direction of the company
