Are you the type of person who buys everything online? Never has a stamp when you need to mail something? Hasn’t used a pen in a week? Maybe you went to pay somewhere recently only to be met with a “cash only” sign and thought to yourself, “What year is it?”

At Notarize, we’re bringing the real estate and mortgage industry into the digital age. Traditionally a pen and paper process, we’re transforming the mortgage borrower’s experience by providing a completely online closing process. We’re able to do this because Notarize is the first on-demand notary platform, allowing anyone to notarize a document online. We're helping people execute the most important transactions of their lives and streamlining operations for countless industries. More than 1.25 billion documents are notarized annually in the US — it's an enormous market that impacts some of the country's largest companies and industries.

Our portfolio presents a unique and compelling product management challenge, since we rapidly expand our coverage and unblock industries that rely on notarization. As a Product Manager focused on the Real Estate side of our product, you'll have an immediate and direct impact on this growing part of the business. You'll help with defining product scope, writing user stories, building consensus with both internal and external partners, and presenting product strategy and progress to the senior leadership team. And although we’ll point you at our Real Estate product when you get here, you will also have opportunities to grow and take on new responsibilities as we expand our offerings and enter new markets.

What you'll do:

  • Work with a small team to deliver high-value product to our customers
  • Constantly advocate for our customers, championing intuitive, user-focused experiences
  • Create detailed specifications backed by industry data and customer feedback
  • Build and maintain the internal, partner, and customer relationships required to get things done
  • Thoughtfully manage and prioritize your feature ideas and product backlog to keep the team unblocked and aligned
  • Establish and clearly communicate product plans and success measures, as well as your progress against them
  • Regularly expand and document your understanding of the competitive market
  • Partner with the Principal Product Manager to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our mortgage products
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other product managers to continuously learn, improve, and get things done with no ego

What you'll bring:

  • A hunger for feedback, learning, self-growth, and improvement of the way things work around you
  • The ability to self-manage, find creative ways to work through barriers, actively learn necessary skills, and manage projects to completion with minimal supervision — a.k.a. “Startup Initiative”
  • Influencing skills with a blend of humility and confidence to gracefully motivate the product team to make change and ship valuable products
  • Open, transparent, and collaborative communication style, in conversation, in writing, and when presenting
  • Demonstrated project management skills, either in a professional or academic environment
  • Passion for user experience — a love for intuitive design and an obsession with getting the little details right, as well as a drive to continually improve the customer experience
  • Glowing references from colleagues across different disciplines
  • 1+ years of product management experience, ideally as part of a cross-functional team building a consumer-facing product

Some of our benefits

  • Competitive salaries & equity
  • Heavily subsidized medical, dental, and vision
  • Unlimited PTO & flexible work schedules
  • Small, cross-functional teams
  • Strong emphasis on collaboration & mentorship
  • Friday lunches & regular Lunch & Learn sessions
  • Seltzer & cold brew on tap
  • Fun & easily accessible location (Back Bay, right near the Pru)
