EnerNOC, a leading provider of technology-based energy management solutions, has an immediate need for a Platform Product Manager to join our product management team.

Reporting to the Director of Platform Product Management, you will be responsible for developing the roadmap for and ensuring the successful creation of a world class energy intelligence software platform. You will work hand in hand with our product strategy teams to understand product offerings and with customers and business representatives from across EnerNOC to define delivery models, with a specific focus on cross application integration from customer facing products through to back office data, architecture and processing. This is a terrific opportunity to have a major impact on some of the most innovative “killer applications” of the smart grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize Platform roadmap requirements to support the delivery of EnerNOC’s energy intelligence product suite based on market evidence and business justification
  • Establish a clear vision for how EnerNOC can leverage its store of energy data not only to support our business today, but to propel us into the future
  • Work directly with our engineering and business systems teams to establish detailed product requirements and represent the voice of customer in the development process
  • Work with IT team to specify and implement changes to third-party software configurations
  • Continuously improve the product development process, incorporating lessons learned and best practices
  • Be the consummate team player, going out of your way to ensure exceptional communications between yourself and your colleagues
  • Evaluate third party companies and solutions and drive build/buy/partner decisions​
  • Work collaboratively with sales and operations to ensure that products are fully commercialized
  • Intimately understand EnerNOC’s various product offerings and how they can be applied to address specific customer needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • At least 3+ years of experience in software product management
  • Experience integrating data from disparate systems to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Experience with SaaS applications and web service architectures
  • A knack for simplifying complex problems
  • Passion for great products, superior quality, and a desire to delight customers
  • Ability to sift through details quickly and determine what’s important
  • Ability to work in a fast paced exciting environment with high energy
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adeptly demonstrate products in front of customers
  • Ability to interact with co-workers at all levels of the company
  • Strong team player and a consensus builder
  • New product introduction experience working with cross functional teams to ensure a products are ready to release to market
  • Creativity and a sense of humor
