The Opportunity

As a Product Manager for the Cash Management Program, you will help in the execution of MassMutual's Cash Management strategy, overseeing support of the product line and associated marketing, communications, and training. You will partner with both internal and external stakeholders to help manage and develop the Deposits product portfolio, in particular the FDIC Sweep Products in addition to longer term vision of Savings and CD offerings.

The Team

You will report to the Head of Lending and Banking Services. You will work with the Head of Deposits Strategy and with cash focused teammates in the Wealth Management division in addition to partnering with vendors, banks, and enterprise partners supporting the cash products. The collaborative and dynamic team environment includes members with extensive background and experience in financial products and asset management.

The Impact

Working closely with the Head of Deposits Strategy, you will have the opportunity to help shape, develop, and drive MassMutual's Deposits product strategy. The team executes the cash product strategy for the firm which is a key component of MassMutual's revenue strategy. In your position, you will help enhance MassMutual's Lending and Banking offerings and play an integral role on teams driving high-impact initiatives with a high degree of visibility. A primary focus will be helping to lead the support and growth of our new proprietary FDIC Cash Sweep offering.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Help build strategies and product roadmaps that drives revenue growth, cost savings and minimize risk
  • Support senior executive discussions and decision-making meetings relative to cash products including interest rate management
  • Perform forecasting and sensitivity analyses (e.g. cash balances, revenue)
  • Provide product support by working across the firm to respond to product inquiries and resolve issues
  • Use research and analytics to identify client and advisor needs and provide recommendations for enhancements to the product related features, services, processes, policies, forms, and procedures to meet them
  • Enhance existing products and support efforts to bring new products to market, in collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand the cash product marketplace, including competitive and regulatory developments; support the interest rate committee in analyzing the competitive environment for cash products; and use competitive environment to inform product management recommendations
  • Collaborate with key partners across the organization to ensure that the cash products' value proposition is represented within the organization and advisor channels (i.e., sales teams, marketing, training, field reporting, financial planning, etc.)
  • Understand both product and associated technological needs and use analytics to address those needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product alignment, or strategy in lending, banking, or wealth management
  • Experience working with financial advisors and groups within Wealth Management
  • Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Product management support or consulting, ideally for cash and banking products
  • Product development with experience working a across multiple teams in an agile environment
  • Strong analytical capability in support of P&L management and program analytics
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for cash products
