As Product Engagement Manager for our Information and Content Solutions division, you will be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and solve complex problems in a diverse and challenging market and will be the expert in understanding your customers’ needs. You will work alongside your product management and marketing colleagues to conduct market research and analysis, develop an annual marketing plan, create content-driven marketing programs and establish compelling messaging and positioning that drive demand for our products. Great communication skills, attention to detail, an eye for quality, and the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits, are crucial. In this role, you will:

  • Perform market research to understand our users and their content and licensing needs
  • Conduct competitive analysis and other research projects
  • Review and implement partner channel strategies and programs to ensure revenue and business goals are achieved
  • Team with marketing to develop various positioning strategies and programs for products and ensure achievement of all market objectives and revenue goals.
  • Work with colleagues in marketing and product management to create compelling and easy-to-understand internal-facing content that includes sales training, sales tools, competitive positioning, FAQs and battlecards. 
  • Collaborate with product development teams using Agile Scrum to develop new products and features – on time and within budget – that solve customer problems and deliver value 
  • Develop strategies to grow transactional users on CCC platforms and products
  • Work with the Sr. Director to produce innovative, simple solutions to market problems
  • Collaborate with publishers, customers, partners as needed; develop strong relationships with thought leaders
  • Work closely with technical and functional teams, key senior stakeholders/leadership to execute and report on the results of key initiatives; share key learnings with product teams and others; make recommendations about future improvements
  • Participate in development and implementation of the Business Unit’s go-to-market plan.

  • Superior communication skills, including narrative, PowerPoint, and public speaking

  • Demonstrated track record of success in product marketing, including crafting compelling positioning, creating marketing content and delivering campaigns with measurable results
  • Works cooperatively with others across the organization to align and achieve shared objectives
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with ability to apply structure to complex problems
  • Able to successfully lead and drive projects from ideation to go-to-market with minimal guidance
  • Manage and monitor goals throughout the year
  • Analyze market trends
  • Monitor and review business unit initiatives to ensure they are completed on time and on budget
  • Use knowledge of customer needs, business insights and strategies to guide actions
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to deliver complex messaging to diverse audiences
  • Gain trust and support of others to drive initiatives
  • Consider all relevant factors and uses appropriate decision-making criteria and principles
  • Build relationships with buyers in the market

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 + years of experience in technology product engagement or product marketing
  • Technical aptitude with experience in technology/information services, content management, content delivery or the educational market is a plus
  • Bachelor’s in business or marketing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and familiarity with Salesforce
  • Travel 10-20% to conferences, events and customer sites to staff our tradeshow booth, present at a session, conduct product concept reviews, or help close a large sale
