The Director, Medicare Product Strategy is a key strategic leader for Devoted Health and is responsible for leading the benefit design analysis, CMS bid submission and plan implementation for all markets. Our Director will work collaboratively with the senior management team, our CFO, market sales leadership, marketing and operations departments to develop innovative benefit design packages that attract and retain members in the Medicare Advantage market. In addition, the Director will evaluate new products and markets for Devoted to pursue. The ideal candidate will possess an intellectual curiosity and passion to move the business forward.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working with the sales, marketing and clinical teams to identify new and innovative benefits to offer our members and evaluating the operational and financial impact of those product enhancements
• Operationalize benefit design changes with the claims management, clinical, marketing and compliance teams to ensure members are properly informed of the benefits available through Evidence of Coverage (EOC) and Annual Notice of Change (ANOC)
• Evaluate the competitive landscape in Devoted’s existing and new markets and determine the drivers of growth that should be incorporated in our insurance product design
• Identify new products, populations and markets that Devoted should consider addressing and lead the business plan development and implementation for those entries
• Contribute the successful development of partnerships with providers and vendors including the financial analysis, contract negotiation and implementation
• Leadership in the CMS Bid submission including development of assumptions, sales & marketing benefit design optimization, external actuary relationship management and coordinating regulatory review responses

Desired skills and experience:

• Experience in the healthcare insurance industry, preferably Medicare Advantage
• Leadership experience in a management consulting firm or industry specialist organization
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with 3-7 years of product development experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• MBA required
