Overview

Mimecast is looking for a results-oriented Product Manager to join the Education Team. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and collaboratively with a focus on a core Mimecast product line.

 

You'll be representing our valued customers and internal stakeholders to ensure that they receive education of the very highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap and overall business plan for a Mimecast education product line.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Customer Experience, Product Marketing and Sales to gather requirements and build a better understanding of how we drive our education products forward.
  • Process and prioritize new product requests and ideas from across the business.
  • Create clear, concise user stories and requirements which articulate the needs and desires of our customers and users.
  • Work with diverse teams to deliver high quality projects on time.
  • Represent Mimecast professionally, e.g. with customers, prospects and our online community.
  • Ownership of beta programs and launch delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven and relevant education training or Product Management experience
  • Exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Mail
    • Archive
    • Security
    • Cloud services
  • Demonstrable understanding of cloud platform concepts and the associated challenges and trade-offs which necessarily accompany growth and scale.
  • An established education professional and a consummate team player.
  • Evidence of being able to work at a strategic level while simultaneously focusing on more immediate detailed tasks.
  • Expertise researching, defining and documenting complex business processes and requirements.
  • Adept at explaining challenging technical concepts to individuals.
  • Strong analytical background and a track record of using data to support business decision making.
  • Launch experience, including documentation and smooth handover to instructional designers and education trainers
  • Extensive customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.

Our company is in a suburban upscale, historic neighborhood, 30 minutes outside Boston with plenty of free parking and access to all major highways.
